On January 1st, 2004, the Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents
Act came into force for all commercial organizations. The purpose of the Act is
to protect you, the consumer and private citizen, from unscrupulous operators and
telemarketers. We, at the Natural Beauty Anti-Aging Skin Care Clinic, embrace this legislation,
and have always upheld the tenets of the Act in the normal course of our business.
Thus there are no changes to the way we conduct business, except that now we need to
describe our policies and receive the formal consents of our Clients. If you have
any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Natural Beauty Anti-Aging Skin Care Clinic's documentation and computer systems maintain names,
addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, medical chart data,
occupations, NewsLetter and Offer mailing preferences, other contact details, digital
photos, analysis data, treatment and product data, and payment details, for the following
requirements:
§ To identify our Clients;
§ To ensure the safety and comfort of our Clients;
§ To accurately analyse and recommend appropriate treatments and products;
§ To record an ongoing history of conditions and results of treatments and products;
§ To enter and archive payment data for book-keeping and government audit purposes;
§ To mail or email our Clients our NewsLetter and Offers, given our Client's agreement
to this.
Our Client's information is never, ever in any way, disclosed to anyone outside the
Clinic, and our staff have access on a 'need to know' basis only. All data is securely
locked 24/7, and electronic systems and data are password controlled.
Should our clients wish to review their own file, we will be glad to assist them.
Should you have any questions about this policy, don't hesitate to ask our staff when you
are at the Clinic.
Thank you for taking the time to review this policy.
